In my opinion, the ultimate goal of education in today’s world is to create new leaders for tomorrow. As a teacher, my primary role is to guide and mold the minds of my students. However, teachers aren’t the only ones with specific roles. The role of today’s student is to seek new ideas and strive to expand their minds. The classroom learning environment should be motivating with ample materials for each student to utilize. Emotionally a student’s environment should be supportive and nurturing.

 

 

Student’s perspectives will be diverse; each student brings with them their own life experiences which influence the way they approach learning. My teaching methodology will vary since each student learns differently. Differentiating classroom instruction will allow me to meet my students where they are and guide them to places they didn’t think they could go. 

 

 

Teachers and parents should show respect for each other, and work as a team to assist students in reaching their full potential. I will collaborate with parents regularly to keep parents informed and involved.

 

 

Teaching professionals need to collaborate with each other to achieve an optimal learning environment. Creating a team approach to help guide and support each other will aid in meeting the needs of students, which is essential in maintaining a strong school culture. Education is so important to humanity and the development of our society; without education society would suffer significantly.

 

My professional commitments are to encourage a fun learning environment where students are eager to attend school, guide students by being a positive role model and motivate students to have a desire to learn, explore, and experience. I will foster a caring and nurturing learning environment by being emotionally available to each and every student.  Create a successful learning environment by using different teaching methods to better reach individual students. Form close knit relationships with parents to create a learning support system for students. Establish a relationship with other teachers to learn from their perspectives and experience. Continue my own learning by seeking additional learning opportunities. Exemplify the teaching profession by promising to keep the students’ best interest at heart. Use my own experiences as a student to formulate a fair and effective discipline plan.
